Girls Ministry leaders need intentional community, and finding connection is tough. Nobody understands girls ministry like other girls ministry leaders, but sometimes you may feel like the only one!
So where?
Where can youth ministry leaders find community?
A community of deep and lasting connection is one of the highest hopes for every ministry leader. You help create it for your girls, you nurture it amongst your volunteer leaders, and you probably cherish the moments of running into another girls ministry leader at conference or connecting online. Community amongst ministry leaders that is healthy, safe, intentional, and honest is rare.
Hi we are Zac & Chad and a few years ago we started an intentional community of ministry cohorts for exactly those reasons. We saw youth ministry leaders hoping and praying for their students to get connected deeply into small groups of their friends, while the youth minister themselves had no real community amongst their peers.
This year in partnership with Lifeway Girls we want to extend an invite to girls ministry leaders across the country to be a part of Youth Ministry Booster and join a cohort of girls ministry peers.
Wait, What Is Youth Ministry Booster?
Youth Ministry Booster is our membership community of collaboration and care for youth ministry leaders of all kinds.
We love youth pastors, middle school ministers, girls ministry leaders, full-time ministers, part-time ministers, and volunteer leaders who are shouldering a whole lot.
If you are in a role where you oversee adults to minister to students we got you. Women and men who lead, direct, pastor and minister and oversee ministry to students need peer support and intentional care and we want to be there in support.
But Who Is Youth Ministry Booster For?
Booster is for those who lead out in student ministry that need peers. We have found that regardless of church size there are ministers looking for deep conversations that Facebook comments don’t cover. You don’t need another group of ideas, you need a Mastermind of relationships.
When ministers become members they are matched to a Mastermind group equipped with monthly guides and an amazing host. Our hosts are fellow youth ministers and volunteer rock stars that make Booster happen. They are the men and women that are serving in their local church and also carve out some time to give back to their cohort, to you.
When we match we match based on availability, context, and experience. You need people in your mastermind that you can meet when you meet, understand where you are coming from, and have a shared level of experience to ask similar questions.
One of the things I am most proud of is that we put youth ministry leaders in groups that are immediately helpful because we match them by their availability, experience, and context.
Matching Your Context
You aren’t just in a group of other ministers, you are matched to a group of ministers that have a shared level of experience, context/church size, and are asking some of the same questions you are asking. It creates space for members to share openly, honestly, because there is a starting level of understanding. Everyone in your group is called to ministry and in a similar situation as you.
Matching Availability
One of the things that holds most folks back from connecting more deeply with a community of leaders is the question of when? When will we all get together? We are all busy, “when are we ever going to make the time to get together?”
Since 2016 we have found that online tools can be useful for building relationships and intentional community. Last year we had over 44 groups meeting at various times morning, afternoon, and evening. If you have 90 minutes a month we have a group that will fit your availability.
Well okay, but what can you expect to gain over the next year through YMB?
Every year/season is themed around vital ministry and minister growing topics. Last year it was wild with various animal parables and this year we are kicking it old school and rewriting the youth ministry textbook on how to lead well for longer! Asking the important questions about, “how to add value” and “how to subtract distractions” we really believe that each month we are going to uncover some of the most foundational and formational formulas for what ministry leaders need in a year after last year.
What’s the cost? How do I join?
It’s $199 to cover a whole year of access to the content, get matched to your mastermind, and flourish in how you will lead this next year. We are so thankful for the ways in which you are leading in your church and for the kingdom. You can learn more and get signed up at https://www.youthministrybooster.com/
