Hello again and Happy Labor Day! We hope you’re enjoying a rest-filled day off.
Labor Day obviously calls for some yummy food, and what’s a better fit for the end-of-summer heat than fruit salsa?! I am personally obsessed with all kinds of fruit salsas, whether mango, strawberry, pineapple – you name it. Try this blueberry-strawberry salsa for a festive and delicious addition to your Labor Day snacks!
If you’re not a fan of salsa but still want something healthy and patriotic, try these rasberry (or strawberry!) and blueberry kabobs instead.
Along with the food comes the party. And with the party has to come games, right? But not all of us have a cornhole set stowed away in our attic. You can find some simple, fun backyard games here, here, and here.
Since it is Labor Day and we are celebrating the labor of our country and its workers, this article by John Piper seems appropriate. It’s rather lengthy, but a very good read and helps shed lots of light on our country’s current issues.
Also in lieu of our country’s current state, watch this short video with Martin Luther King, promoted by The Gospel Coalition and check out the upcoming conference recognizing the 50th anniversary of his death.
Thanks so much and Happy Labor Day!
