On January 1, we’ll be releasing a brand new study from Ocielia Gibson, More Than Pretty. Ocielia is a speaker and founder of More Than a Pretty Face International, a ministry focused on the spiritual growth of girls and young women. As a former Miss Black USA, she served as a national advocate for issues affecting young women and continues to use her platform to encourage young women to live lives devoted to Christ. She has attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to pursue her Masters in Theological Studies, and currently resides in Dallas, TX, where she actively serves at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
More Than Pretty is a six-session video driven Bible study for middle and high school girls that will explore the definition of true beauty. Using the five natural senses, this resource will serve as a tool to guide girls in exploring how to spiritually and practically develop multifaceted beauty that ultimately honors God.

What’s a launch team?
A launch team is a hand-selected group of women who have a voice both in girls ministry and on social media. You will use your voice to tell others about the new study. If you’re selected to participate, we’ll add you to a private Facebook group. There, you’ll be provided with quotes, content, and images to share about More Than Pretty. Additionally, as a launch team member, you’ll be given access to exclusive “behind-the-scenes” info and content from LifeWay Girls, as well as some fun goodies from us to say thank you. One of our favorite parts about each launch team is the community that’s formed as you’re able to meet and network with other ladies involved in girls ministry.
